My favorite thing to do with Dominate (besides stealing Heroes) is to raze any Mana Nodes I don't need, then dominate the independent Elementals and other special units that usually pop up from the ruins. The only times I had units deserting was when I let them wander off alone. Units with Poor/Terrible Morale, even heroes and level 4's, typically just needed a loyal Hero and/or a couple of level 3 or 4 units to keep them in line. I've been abusing Dominate quite heavily on my run through the Cult of Storms campaign (gave it to my Leader), and desertion hasn't been much of a problem. There are others, but I'll leave it there. What should be the first target for domination? How much does bard's skill add into the equation? (Satyr's have a use afterall?) What makeup of units will keep a 元 unit in line? A L4? A low/mid/high level hero? Could one of the more "expert" players out there write a strategy guide for the statistics, uses of, and tips and tricks to using the seduce/charm/dominate skill? Is it due to the fact that I was generally grouping them with some other strong units who were fanatically loyal to me?ĭoes anybody know the numbers on keeping units in line? Perhaps a "dominate specific" strategy guide for players making the jump from "newbie" to "expert"? I'm not to the latter, but I'm 99% sure I'm not in the former category either. I was able to keep them in line for some reason. I was really bothered by this until this last game when I dominated four opposition heroes and a few 元 and L4 units. So there is mad hype around Dominate, but it always ticks me off because whenever I decide to play with it I always wind up spending all those points for a skill which gives me units who desert within a few turns anyway.
